About Me

Thanks for visiting! I'm a writer, media activist and nonprofit development director with a passion for independent media, grassroots activism, local news, culture, art and storytelling. I believe reliable information is crucial in achieving a just and democratic society, and I work to garner support organizations that advocate for its accessibility to all.

I am presently the administrative and fundraising director at Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting (FAIR), a progressive, independent media watchgroup. In addition to managing FAIR's office and development, I also research and write media criticism articles and studies, calling out corporate and elite influence in news coverage on topics including climate change, LGBTQ+ issues, human rights and threats to democracy. I also have bylines in The Progressive, a national peace and justice-focused independent magazine, The Indypendent, a New York City-based nonprofit paper focusing on grassroots issues, CommonDreams, a national progressive outlet, and more. I also currently serve on the board of the Accountability Journalism Institute, aimed at correcting politicized public health disinformation and exposing the dark money and bad actors behind it.

I previously guest hosted and co-produced a radio show on WBAI 99.5FM in Brooklyn, New York for The Indypendent. There, I covered issues from youth climate justice, to workers' rights, to the decriminalization of sex work.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ithaca College’s Park School of Communications in 2019 with a journalism major and women’s and gender studies minor. There, I served as the Life and Culture editor at The Ithacan newspaper and was an intern for The Ithaca Voice and FAIR. I also board operated and newscasted for the local Cayuga Radio Group.
